Seeking information on George H. Phair who was a circuit-riding Methodist minister in Texas in the 1880's. He is listed as in Madison County, TX, on the 1880 census. He served in the Velasco (Brazoria County, TX) circuit in 1875-'76 and again in 1882-'85. Ranch Prairie was in Velasco circuit and in March a post office opened there with the town's name as Phair, TX. After the 1900 hurricane, the town declined and it is now a ghost town. Would enjoy hearing from any descendants.
