Yes, ...I do already have this info, but thankyou for sending it anyway. Always better to have it twice or more than not at all.
I have info taken from the 1841 and 1861 and 1881 census as well, but unable to go back any further as I live in Australia and do my research at the LDS. Bratton Clovelly has bot been indexed. However...having said that I do have a cousin who lives in Exeter, [who only last week] said he will go to the DRO abd look-up the Bratton Clovelly PR's for me.
Like you said your JOHN and my THOMAS could be brothers. will be in touch if I find out anything of interest.
