David, I think I told you by e-mail that the Rev. Edward "Neddy" Pharr is not buried (in a marked grave, at any rate) near Mulberry (now Rockwell) Church in Jackson County, Ga. Nor is he in any of the three family cemeteries associated with that Universalist church that was founded in 1839 -- and seems to be the only "Mulberry" Church anyone knows about, except for a c. 1900 Baptist church in the northern part of the county. The three family cemetery are those belonging to the White, Hill & Howse (House) families. Of course, Edward was a Presbyterian. He may have had his own conversion to Universalism -- or I could have been way off track looking for him at this spot. Either way, my wife and I have met some really wonderful people in that (still rural) part of Jackson County that became Barrow County in 1911 (or -18?). Mr. Robert Hill, descendant of the man who gave the land for the church is a state -- if not national -- treasure! He's 90, and he remembers almost everything. Such a splendid representative of your people and mine, who settled Piedmont Georgia!
