James Clarence Pharr b. 8 Dec. 1902 d. 12 Nov. 1966.
James Newton Pharr b. 21 Aug. 1875 d. 1 Sept 1947 mar. Willie Lenda Johnson about 1897. Willie b. 17 May 1875 in South Carolina d. 5 Nov. 1948. They were living in Atlanta so guess they were married there. I do have one picture of James with his parents and siblings.
William Edward 2.4.62 Pharr b. 11 Oct 1845 in Cherokee or Cobb C. d. 9 April 1912 mar. 12 Nov. 1865 to Nancy Catherine Coggin. Note there is no letter S at the end of her name. She was b. 21 De. 1842 in DeKalb C. and d. 2 April 1921 in Atlanta. They are b. at Greenwood Cem. on Cascade Rd. Atlanta. I have a good bit more on the Coggin family. They arrived in Massachusetts around 1625. They were from England and I have them back to there.
Edward T. 2.3.30 Pharr b. April 1807 Abbeville SC and d. after 1880. he is shown on the 1880 census in Gwinnett C. He mar. Margaret McEver 24 Sept. 1829 in Jackson C. she was b. 11 Nov. 1798 in Oglethorpe C. and d. bet. 1850 and 1880. I can't find them on the 1860 or 1870 census but Edward signed his loyalty oath in Gwinnett C. after the war. There are a number of Cemetery's in Gwinnett I would like to investigate. There is a large Pharr family there and would be Edwards Cousins and his family members. I have a bit more on the McEver family they were from Pennsylvania.
Rev. Edward T. 2.2.7 Pharr b. 3 Jan 1766 and d. 12 June 1845 in Jackson C. Mary Orr 9 Jan. 1798 in Giilford C. NC. She was b. abt 1779 in Ireland and d. abt 1816 in Georgia. More than likely Jackson C. They are shown on the 1800 Oglethorpe GA. census. They had 7 Children. After Mary's death he mar. Margaret McMillion 19 Jan 1826 in Jackson C. they had 5 children. Two boys and three girls. One son was killed in the war and the other d. in the Army of disease. The oldest son James by this marriage was married and had children but the other Samuel McMillion was never married as far as I can tell.
Edward Neddy 2.1.1 Phair b. abt 1720 in Ulster C. Ireland but this could be wrong. He d. 11 Feb. 1795 in Georgia. I think it was Oglethorpe C. He mar. Rachel Beard abt 1748 in Lynchburg Va. She was b. abt 1730 in Lynchburg and d. Aug. 1778 in Lynchburg. They had 10 children. After moving to North Carolina he mar. Mary Orr. They had not children. We don't know if this is the same Mary Orr his son married are another one. I have a letter where Mary gave up all claims to his estate. It is in the book Pharrs and Farrs. The numbers shown in the Pharr names is from the book. If you would like a copy on CD a Cecil Pharr has it. The cost is about $7. so it's very cheap. I have did a bit of work on this family and some of this is shown in the book. Cecil added it at the end. My computer crashed and I am now trying to recover much of what I lost.
Look what I gave up and see if you can add some? I can give some more if you would like. I had more on the Beard family but lost it.
