I really appreciate your help. I think the key to finding the parents of WIlliam W. (Walter) Pharr is being born in Ala. I do know he was in Texas (Nacogdoches) at a early age. I have found pay slip as early as 1836-38. He married Mary A. James and ended up in Trinity Co., TX. Her parents were Jesse James & Nancy Branch Lowe. Could??? his parent be Ephraim Pharr. On all the census info on William W. Pharr he states he was born in Ala. Big question is what "Pharr" was in Ala. at the time of his birth. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks
