Elias Wesley Pharr was the son of Samuel Thatcher (2.3.19) Pharr and Elizabeth Mary Lowe. There is a posibility her maiden name was Ward but can't be proven. Elias was born 1819 in Abbeville SC and d. 21 May 1901 in Ouachita C. Ark. After Elizabeth died he maried a P. Seahorn. Elias and Elizabeth were married 7 Jan 1840 in Walton C. Ga. There known children were:
1. Samuel Jessie 1840-1863
2. Mary Lavina 1843-1923
3. John Wilson 1845-1928
4. William McCarter 1848-unk
5. Edward Ingles 1851-1919
6. Joseph Stiles 1853-1921
7. Elizabeth Jane 1856-1875
The Pharr family at least in the early days were all Presbyterian. The family came from Scotland but lived for a while in (Scot-Irish) Ireland before comming to America. You can read about this in the book Pharrs and Farrs. If you want a copy on CD it's $7. Mr. Cecil Pharr has all rights to the book. Thd CD is the original book. Plus many updates and corrections by myself and other family members. I respong to questions at General Forum but if you want to email me at redroad9@aim I will give you what I can on the family. I do my work on the line of Edward Neddy Phair but have other lines also.Yes this Pharr family is part of the Edward Neddy Phair line.
