son of Ephraim 2.2.2 Phair Pharr and wife jane maiden name unknown. Samuel mar. Margaret Gorley 15 April 1815 in Sumner C. Tn. She was b. 1795 In Mecklenburg C. NC and d. 7 April 1880 in Pike C. Mo. Margaret's notes: Note both the 1850, 1860 and 1870 census she was born in South Carolina. She was awarded a pension Apr. 1878 for her husbands service in the war of 1812. Her grandson William Stark made the application for her.

-On the 1840 Pike County, Missouri census pg. 83 line 26 Samuel Pharr males 5-10=1, 10-15=1, 15-20=1, 20-30=2, 40-50=1, females 0-5=1, 10-15=1, 15-20=1, 20-30=1, 40-50=1, looks like Samuel owned 7 slaves. Next door to John Bell and the Pike County marsahll who took the 1840 census.
-On the 26 July 1850 census for Cuivre, Pike County, Missouri pg. 166 line 39 85/85 Samuel Pharr 56/m farmer $1000. Tn, Margaret 55/f SC, Foster M. 16/m 16/m farmer MO, Cynthia C. 14/f Mo. There is also a Samuel M. Pharr in the same county age 31.
- On the 3 June 1860 census for Pike County, Missouri line 29 36/36 Samuel Pharr 66/m farmer Tn, Margaret 65/f domestic SC, Prudence Riggs 40/f domestic Ky, Wm. E. 16/m farmer Mo, Margaret 14/f
On the 2 June 1870 census for Louisiana PO, Pike County, Missouri pg. 201 line 38/38 Pharr Saml 77/m preacher $2000. Tn, Margaret 76/f Tn.
