I found something in another forum on the Pharr and McCoy connection. John Thomas 2.3.29 Pharr married Tyressa McCoy 25 Oct 1838 in Hall C. Ga They are burried at Midway church in Lost Mountain, Cobb C. Ga. John's brother Ephraim 2.3.31 Pharr married Martha C. Flinten 30 Aug 1838 also in Hall County. Hall County is north of Jackson and Gwinnett Counties. Ephraim died after the Joe Brown Militia Census in 1864 for Georgia. I believe he is burried at Middway Church also. Martha and Ephraim from what I can find were surrvived by one son George Washington 2.4.68 Pharr. He later moves from Cobb C. in Georgia to Ft. Payne, DeKalb County, Alabama. William 2.4.66 died in the Civil War. Martha is shown on the 1870 Cobb C. census.
Ephraim and John T. lived in Chattooga C. on the 1840 census along with there sister Elizabeth 2.3.27 who was married to her cousin Hezekiah Walter 2.3.23 Pharr. The book says they had one son Samuel Thatcher 2.4.58 Pharr but there could be some children as Hezekiah married Nancy Graten 3 Jan 1840 in Chattooga C. Ga. Hezekiah died 4 Nov 1855 in Cobb C. Ga and his widow (Nancy Graton) is shown living with Ephraim on the 1860 census for Cobb C. John Thomas is said to have died in 1860 but is shown on the 1860 census. His brother Ephraim who is said to have died 1860 did not and as I said lived to be counted on the Joe Brown Census around 1864. Nancy Graten who maried Hezekiah is shown on the 1870 census. Graten I don't think is her maiden name. I tend to think she was married before.
