Ephraim 2.3.31 Pharr b. May 1809 Oglethorpe C. Ga. d. after 1864 the book says he died 1860. He is shown on the Joe Brown Militia census for Cobb C. se notes. mar

Malissa Caroline 2.3.31 McCoy. The book says her name was Flinten with no know first name. See 1838 marriage notes. She was a sister to Tyressa McCoy who married John Thomas 2.3.29 Pharr a older brother to Ephraim. So two brothers Pharr married two McCoy sisters. One of the McCoy sisters married a Finton so might be where the mistake came from.

Might note Alexander was a carpenter as was John T. Pharr. Could it be Alexander taught John the trade?

Ephraim and Melissa marriage notes: -Georgia Marriages to 1850 Georgia Marriages to 1850
Name: Ephraim Farr , Spouse: Malissia C. Mccoy
Marriage Date: 30 Aug 1838
Marriage County: Hall , Marriage State: Georgia

Might also note looks like Ephraim and John married the McCoy sisters on the same day. Also both Ephraim and John are next door to Alexander McCoy on the 1840 Chatooga C. Ga census along with there sister Elizabeth 2.3.27 who married her cousin Hezekial 2.3.23 Pharr. Hezekial and Elizabeth had one son named Samuel Thatcher 2.4.58 Pharr a confederate Veteran who became a doctor and moved to Troupe C. Ga. John and Tyressa had 3 sons and 1 daughter. Two sons Ira and alexander died in Virginia in the Civil War and the other son D. V. must have died after the 1860 census for Cobb. C. There daughter Mary Jane 2.4.59 married Francis Golden Wardlaw. They had 9 children. Ephraim and Malissa had 3 sons. William died in the Civil War. Son George W. also fought int the war but note he is shown on the 1864 Joe Brown Militia census so he served late in the war. Another son with name unkn own died as a child.
