I am most interested in your reference to Drury Phenix [1809-1899]. I hope this is the Drury living in South Carolina. In 1831, in Edgefield county, SC, Jacob B. Youngblood died intestate. His estate was substantial. In the final settlement, June 28, 1836, the administrator paid out several hundred each to Drury, Eliza, James and Maria Phenix. I believe this indicates all four were adults at the time. We have never been able to identify this family or learn how they are connected to the Youngbloods of Edgefield County, SC, or perhaps to allied families, Still, Dozier, Bean, Head, Quattlebaum, etc. Any information will be appreciated.
