Mike - did I EVER follow up with you on these people? I put most of my research away a couple years ago as I got into some other projects. Now, I'm back trying to prove my Robertson link to one in Scotland. I will be back in Edinburgh and the northern Highlands for 5 weeks in September-October and plan to spend a week at Register House in the city. So, I'm now retracing steps and trying to fill in a lot of gaps. One thing I noticed and can't remember (at my advanced age) if I caught it earlier - we both have Cordelia Phenix marrying Athanatious Robertson in 1775, and their son, Nathaniel, born 9 Oct 1767. I find him all over Ancestry but, of course, no one ever sources those entries & I believe the majority of all of them to be copied from other people's works. Drives me nuts! And trying to get any of them to correct anything is impossible. Moving on - have you learned anymore about our Robertsons? I thought I had a good lead with Nathaniel, born 1680 in Kindeace, who came to VA in 1705. Married Mary Drewry & Jeff Martin (I think) has this one with us also. However - can't find our guy Athanatious connected! You said in your original message to me that you have him born in Scotland in 1735. Do you have this documented yet? He doesn't show on Scotland's People, or didn't last year when I last looked. A new-found "cousin" in Fife has Alexander Robertson and she thinks he is our link and that we are truly related through him. Similar names is what convinces her but I'm not sure of it. If you know any new clue at all, I'm happy to look for it while there. You may email me at one listed on here if you would rather do that. Linda
