Your message looks a bit lonely sitting there on its own.
The name Phibbs is rather an unusual name and it is generally regarded that all Phibbs are related. They originated in Co. Sligo Ireland. The first known member came from England in the late 1500's.A branch of this family came to live near Blessington, Co. Wicklow in the early 1800's.Members of the family have emigrated to far away places such as Australia, New Zealand, America and Africa. A seperate branch of the Phibbs family lived in Co. Cork in the 1700'and 1800's.
The name George occours in the Sligo and Wicklow branch of the family and was repeated over the generations. Have you any more specific information on George and Sophia?
Regards from Maureen
