Maureen,
The only philbrook name I have is Melvena who was an aunt to my grandfather,Alexander James Humphrey. When I visited her in 1962 she was well into her 80s as was my grandfather, whose mother must have been Melvena's sister.Melvena also had another sister living in Tenants Harbour,Maine in the late 40s when my older sister lived with our grandfather for a year.Melvena married Edward Bickmore .They had one son who died as a very young child.I have a newspaper clipping from an unknown 1953 paper congratulating them on their 62 wedding anniversary. They were living in Tenants Harbour where they retired then.It states that she was from "Head of the Bay"
I have no other clues to my mothers family.
She died suddenly in 1967 and I regret that I had never questioned her abvout her family.
