I am a member of the Filby Assc. my membership number is 251. Sadly I believe my info has been 'misplaced'. I have sent it twice now and really don't have time to do it all again.
I have traced my Filby/Philby family from 1759 Suffolk County and my 5X great grandparents Samuel Filby and Bridget Barton who were married at St. Andrew's in the village of Cotton. Their son Samuel was baptised there 23 Jan 1798 and married there to Mary Anne Friend.
I actually went there almost 2 years ago now, and had hoped to meet up with someone from the assoc. but was unable to connect. My son was stationed in England at the time and took me to Cotton and Filby where I had a chance to walk the path of my ancestors. I have been requesting assistance by the assoc. in getting these marriage and baptismal records to no avail.
I have an almost complete linage of their son George who immigrated to the US in 1863, David being one of his son's.
If you can email me per my assoc membership, I'll see if I still have a copy of the info I sent origianally and will try to send to you again as I would appreciate any help in getting the above mentioned records and connecting to others of this line.
