Wow Kenneth, that is great information. Thank you so much. John, Elizabeth and Peter were born between this and 1853 when Sarilda said they moved to Indiana. The 1860 Madison Co. IN Jackson Twp. census says all the children were born in Ohio.

Now, who were Lewis Carter's parents and why did he change his name to McCarty sometime after the 1860? Mmmmmm :-)
