Help Philhower/Jackson line in NJ/VA please!!

Hello everyone! I am looking for relatives in the Philhower family that I lost after my grandparents divorced. Our connection to the philhower line is when my grandmother (Margaret Canavan) married George Philhower on 7-14-1935 in New Jersey. George Philhower (b.25 May 1912) is the son of Ethel (Lee?) Jackson and Jacob Philhower. My grandmother remembers her husband's family was from Virginia, around Suffolk. George had two sisters, Ethel and Mabel. Jacob Philhower had a brother William Philhower in VA who owned a lumber yard. Her husband, George, used to say that his ancestors were in the country five generations as Philhowers. When George and Ethel divorced, she moved with the children to Newark, NJ, and ended contact with the Philhower side. She later married into the Oakie family. Jacob later ended up in prision for killing someone, I think.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
