I have a ancestor, Anna Philhower, who was born in New Jersey, Nov. 11, 1805. All I know is that it was told through the family that she and her family traveled by raft down the canal to Ohio. She grew up in Ohio and married John Nutt May 20, 1830. They later moved to southern Indiana. After John Nutt died Anna and her children moved to Iowa, Boone Co. She is buried in the Squire Boone Cemetary, Iowa. I would like to find out her parents names and dates. I think she had two brothers, Philip and Peter, but I'm not positive. Any help would be appreciated. I do think she was related to the Jurg Philip (Wulhauer) Philhower family.
