I have solved the mystery. Shirley is correct. I obtained via my local Family History Center the microfilm of the Philhower notebooks compiled by Mrs. James O'Grady. On pages 338 & 339. it indicates that Nathaniel B. Philhower, son of Andrew Schuyler Philhower & Hannah Moore (born Aug. 3, 1855, died Feb. 3, 1937) was named after the Rev. Nathaniel B. Klinck, minister of Fairmount Presbyterian Church.

Using Ancestry.com images, in the 1860 and 1870 Censuses he appears as Nathaniel with his parents. He does not appear in 1880 or 1890. He appears in 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 as Klinck with wife Emma (but Ancestry.com has him as Klehok in 1900 & Kenrick in 1920 - those images can be read as Klinck). Children appearing with them are Edward, Ray, George, Frank, Lena & Emmitt.

In 1880 and 1910 Censuses a Klinick appears, son of Theodore & Mellisa, born about 1874. This causes some confusion.
