That name should be Francis Florester Philibert and wife Carmalite.
Info on 1852 Mobile hurricane would also be appreciated.
Francis was lighthouse keeper at Choctaw Point until his death in 1842, then she took over job. Found article with details of Carmalite's drowning death during hurricane, also death of her young teen-aged son and two granddaughters. Daughter Emily and son-in-law William E. Colgin found alive, clinging to log.
Article in 1852 NY newspaper online but before I could copy it, it disappeared. Now I can't find it again.
