Seeking to make contact and exchange information with related Philippi family researchers. Undocumented Family History states the name was originally "Philippe" from France (a very old family trunk has it spelled that way). Left France for "political" reasons. Documents going back to siblings Laurence, Odilia(m. Otto Schutz), and Peter Philippi in 1754 in Bergheim Erft, Rheinland. In 1777 the family moved to (Neider)Heckenbach, farther south in the Rheinland where they stayed until coming to the US, Green Bay, WI area in 1883. Associated surnames include Busterbachs, Mais (Meys/Mays), Schaeffer (Schefer), Philipsen, Lambertz(Lamberz), Schmitt, Schaut, Brust. Prominent family given names include, Anna, Michael, Peter, Matthias (Matthew), Elizabeth, Gertude, John Appolinaris, Jacob, Christine, Joseph, Maria, Barbara, Antone, Catherine. Have extensive documentation to share in hopes of making contact with others in the line with information to share. Thank you, Rita
