Charles E. Phillippe born February 23, 1873, Nettie L. Phillippe born February 22, 1870 and William E Phillippe born July 10, 1861 were orphoned on August 17 1874 with the death of both parents George Washington Phillippe born May 31, 1831 and Sarah A Newman Phillippe born August 2, 1835. At this time the family was living in Orange Township, Clark County, Illinois. Recently I checked the 1900 census of Ringgold County, Iowa and found that they might have been living there as well. My grandfather Thomas Franklin Phillippe born August 16, 1857 and his family were living nearby at the time in Benton Township, Ringgold County, Iowa. If anyone knows what became of these 3 orphaned Phillippe children I would be most happy to hear from you. I have much data on the Thomas Franklin Phillippe family I would be willing to share as well.
