Our grandfathers were brothers. You mentioned that Donat had two brothers (Edmund and Rene) that you know about. They were actually 12 in the family! Oscar, my grandfather, Gracia Marie Delphine, Aldea Marie Anna, Edmond, Donat, Omer, Edouard, Marilda, Eugene, René, Delphis, and Roland. They are all children of Joseph and Rose-Anna Pilon, maried on Aug. 21, 1893. Joseph's parents were Edouard and Délima Sincennes (or Cincenne) married in 1868. Edouard's parents were James Philips and Marie Guertin (or Yertin) maried on May 5, 1839. James' parents were James Phipps and Marie Van Housin. They appear to be German but I'm not sure. My last record is from 1808. I know why it changed from Philips to Philippe, I'm trying to know why Philips from Phipps. I should post the family tree on the net in a few weeks. I would like to hear from your branch because it stops at your father and uncle.
