Kay Marie,
I am the g g grandson of Dr. Bonaparte Philleo (b. Mar 1801, Dover, Duchess County NY. d. 10 Dec 1855 in Utica, NY). Bonaparte married Elza Benchley and had 7 children. One was Helen Marr Philleo, who married Dean M. Jenkins. Their daughter, Florence Browing married Hinton E. Spalding, one of whose daughters, Margaret Marion, was my mother.
Bonaparte had two younger brothers, both also studied medicine, Jefferson and Addison. Jefferson "studied medicine with his brothers Addison and Bonaparte, commenced practice with Bonaparte at Cedarville. In about 1834, he went to Galena, Ill. He never married." He died of an undetermined illness near the Ohio river in 1836.
I have no other information about your Addison, but mine and yours certainly must be the same one.
Please correspond to provide missing info or ask questions.
Many thanks,
Jon L. Greenawalt, Sr.
Bloomfield Hills, MI.
