Abraham Phillippi of somerset County, from my memory, was a son of my ancestor, John Phillippi (1767-1847) and his wife Catherine Weimer (1772-1852.) John's father, Georg Franz Phillippi came over from Volksberg, Alsace, France in 1749 and was the first white man to see Somerset County, Pa., as a teamster in Braddock's Expedition of 1755.
I've been working on the family for about thirty years and had a researcher trace them back to the late 1600's.
My grandmother was a Phillippi.
