The Philippi family I was researching was much earlier (1700 and before). This family was associated with the Reitenauer family in Pennsylvania.

Looking into Dr. Gerhard Hein's "Familienbucher Krummes Elsass" I did not find a (Johann or Hans) Adam or a Frederick Philippi. His records go only into the late 1700s.

However, I can tell you that most of the Philippi families he recorded were from Volksberg, Alsace. Some of the families that married into the later Philippi families were the Reitenauers, Rosers, Gerbers, Hulsenkopfs, Hauptmanns, Windsteins, Guths, Roths.

If you find any of these familes associated with your Philippi family; let me know and I will send you the data he has on that family.
