Old John Phillippi no longer a Patriot

As of Sep 2002, the DAR is no longer accepting membership based on the VA Militia record of John Phillippi. John served with Capt Buchanan's Co of Montgomery Co VA. Capt Buchanan and about 1/3 of his company were listed as "unfit." The DAR has determined that hundreds (possibly thousands)of militia members listed as unfit did not have creditable service.

Apparently, current members who joined based on John Phillippi's service will not be cancelled. Does anyone know of any other service record for John Phillippi other than Capt Buchanan's Company?
