Hi Frank, Oh wow, I had not made any tie to them outside of Pa. as of yet. However, when I looked up the ship; "Minerva", that you had mentioned, it led me to an article that mentions the emigration of the Palantines out of Germany in that era. I have not finished reading it yet, as it is very long, but so far, I found some reference to settlements in other states by the group that Scherrer emigrated with at the time. Not sure if this will help, but I will send the web site for you to look at.
