1907: Miss Mary Phillips To Wed Jacob A. Riis
JACOB A. RIIS IS TO WED ONCE MORE
New York, June 27.-Jacob A. Riis, philanthropist, sociologist, author, whom President Roosevelt thinks is the most useful citizen, is to marry again.
Mrs. Riis died in May, 1903. In August of this year Miss Mary Phillips, age 25, who has been Mr. Riis' stenographer and secretary, as well as literary helper, for several years, will become his wife.
