For more details about Philpot and York predations against the Cherokees, see my postings # 3270 and #3284 on the York Family Forum page. While this information about the Philpot family may seem somewhat mean-spirited, it is intended to provide factual information about these individuals from sources not likely to have been consulted by family researchers. Cherokee records mention family connections for Philpots and Yorks, such as John Johnson and Nathan Upton (perhaps married to Philpot women).

Some of my ancestors were Cherokee Indians residing in Georgia, but as far as I know, none were victims of the Pony Club. I am seeking genealogical information about all of the members of the Pony Club for a possible article about their activities.
