Here are my Phimisters:

My great-great-great grandfather was Thomas Phimister. I'm not certain where he was born, but I believe that he was from Elgin, Morayshire in Scotland. His occupation on his son's marriage record was Carrier.

His son was George Phimister (occ. Saddler), who married Mary Jane Ward between Dec 22 and Dec 28, 1869 (register date is hard to decipher) at St. Mary's Church, Carlisle, Cumberland, England.

They had 4 children:

Thomas George Phimister, born between Oct-Dec 1870 in Whitehaven, Cumberland, England

John Phimister, born between Oct-Dec 1871 in Cockermouth, Cumberland, England

Margaret Eleanor Phimister, born between Oct-Dec 1875 in Elswick, Northumberland, England

Walter Ellison Phimister, born in 1877 in Elswick, Northumberland, England.

Walter Ellison Phimister was my great-grandfather. He married Harriett Anne Hodgson between Apr-Jun 1900 in Sunderland, Durham, England

They were the parents of my grandmother, Lily Phimister who was born November 10, 1903 in Sunderland, Durham.

She married a Lewis Roebuck in Jan of 1923 in Sunderland, Durham and they immigrated to Canada when my mother was 3 years old.
