Hi Jane,

I haven't been on the geneology site for ages and have just found your message, almost three years old!

My grandmother Anna Wilhelmina firstly married an Austrian school teacher who died of consumtion. She couldn't go home, so the story has been told, because she married "beneath herself" and was cut off from the Bosche family. She then made her way to London where she met and married Robert Phinn. They could have lived in West Ham but my father, Anna's son, always talked of growing up in Shepherds Bush. The name Boettcher rings a bell, I believe my daughter who has researched some of the family has that name, so there could be a connection. I will find out and let you know. My email address is tonybarb5@dodo.net.au
Regards
Barbara Burge nee Phinn
