I am still looking for the Phipps family of the mid 1840's
This family had a son born possibly around 1825-27. He died or was killed in the neighborhood of 1848-49. He was married to Nancy Combs and they had a girl child about 1847 named Sarah E (spelled on 1850 census FIPS). Nancy married again in 1850 to Abel Friend in Clark Co Mo. On their marriage license it said she was from Hancock Co Ill and he from McDonough Co Ill, so I am assumming the Phipps were living in Ill then too.The girl Sarah married Joel Goodrick in Miami Co Kansas on 5-6-1866. Now except for Sarah's marriage all I have written is pure conjecture on my part based on what facts I have. The Combs family were from Ky as was the Friend family. I feel they knew each other in Ky ans maybe the Phipps family was there too.. I know this all took place more than 150 years ago but I am hoping someone working on their history and ancestors will see something that sounds familiar.
