Still trying to document the parents of my paternal grandmother, Malinda Jane Phipps (B: abt 1869 - D: abt 1915 in Knox County KY). Her death certificate states that her father was "Tal/Tol" and her mother was given as Cealia/Cealy Wilburn/Wilborn. She married Ulysis Byron Campbell in Jellico, TN and they lived their lives in Knox County KY. They had a number of children that I know of: Walter Coy (my father), Boyd Robert, Mary, Clara, and James. I have spent countless hours trying to document her parents to no avail. It is possible that her parents came from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, or some other state. It is also possible that they were Quakers or Menionites.
