The May/June issue of the D.A.R. Newsletter has a picture and article on this home:
The Pickens-Salley House was home to two of South Carolina's most outstanding women, Lucy Holcombe Pickens and Eulalie Salley. Lucy was the wife of Francis Wilkinson Pickens, grandson of Revolutionary War hero, Andrew Pickens. The home was located in Edgefield, SC on then Pickens' plantation Edgewood. By the 1920s the home was deserted. (see Salley Forum) The Pickens-Salley Home was moved one more time from the Kalmia Hills area to the campus of the University of South Carolina at Aiken in 1989."
