PICKENS settled in Percy Township, Northumberland Co ON in the early 1840s. Related surnames included ORR and ARMOUR and they had come as a group from Ireland, possibly Tyrone. There is still a Pickens Rd. in Percy Tp, and I believe some in the area who have the surname. Of course later generations spread out from there.
