The Picker Family in Rep. of Ireland

Hi there,
We are the Picker family in Ireland. We live primarily around the Galway area which is on the west coast. We know of another Picker family who unfortunatly died out, so we do'nt have any information on them but we are supposed to be related. Word of mouth in our area tells us that we are decendants of two sailors who docked in Galway and stayed. They were supposed be Norwegian but could have been German. There is one old grave but one cannot read the marking's, that is supposed to be a Picker grave. We now also have family in England where the name is now used by four generations of the one family.
Anybody got anything to add to our tale??!!
We'd love to get any information.
