Hi Dan!

Do not know if we have a common thread but I too am looking of a George Pickel or Pickle. I have a photo of a Capt. Pickel taken sometime about 1920 on a visit to Iowa. Two photos also contain a young lady. I know he was in someway related to my 2nd great grandmother Marie Pickel Landis born 1808 died 1873. She was from Lancaster Co. Pa but was in Ill. by @ 1850. Anything here look familiar? Capt. Pickel is dressed in a uniform which looks as if it might me a naval style. Please contact me if you have any interest or information. Thank you,
