Pickles in VT, ET's of Quebec, and Clinton Co, NY

Israel PICKLE (age 64, born Vermont) in 1870 census of Ellenburg, Clinton Co., NY. Is he related to Richard PICKLE, who died in 1853 in Ellenburg?

In 1870, Israel lived a few houses from Nathaniel (b. Vermont) and Roxana (b. Canada)(CHAMBERLAIN) HOYT and I believe they are somehow connected to Israel and Richard PICKLE, or Richard's widow Sybil.

I think that Israel's family may have lived in the Eastern Townships of Quebec for at least a short time circa 1800.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks in advance,
Michelle Ricard-Mahoney
