While this Pickel/Pickell family did run to somewhat colourful names in the 1830 to 1880 period (Sardenia and Sorango being good examples) the names you mention are not known to me. Also, I'm not aware of any of them being born in New York in the 1830s. When writing their surname themselves, (rather than being recorded by a minister, census taker or land office clerk) they spelled it Pickel/Pickell, not Pickle.

Sorry, I was quoting an old book and did not make it clear as to where Oshawa is. It is now the City of Oshawa in the Province of Ontario Canada, about 35 miles or so east of Toronto.
