Thanks Gene! I don't have a lot to go on at this point for this line.

I've already run into many cases where someone will be listed by different names on different sources (or transcribed incorrectly), as well as cases where they will sometimes go by their middle name. I even have a death certificate from my husband's side of the family where the father's name is actually the son-in-law. Believe it or not, this certificate is from the relatively recent 1981!!!

My Eliza was born November 16, 1832 (figuring back from age listed on death record), so I'm looking in this time range. The tie to Scugog Island is from information I was sent re: the birth of her oldest son, Frank Nolan.

Eliza's death record indicated Mary Scoffield as her mother, but I did notice several Pickel/Scovil marriages. I would not be surprised at all to find Scoffield was actually supposed to be Scovil.
