Alice,

A second note: The Scarbroughs sold land to the government for Oak Ridge and the Manhattan Project in the early 1940s. The Scarbroughs were cousins to the Pickels. I was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee in 1946. Both my mother, Anne Marie Bell and my father, Carl H. Yoho were on the Manhattan Project.

Another note from Hayes...Catherine Wells Scarbrough is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Marsh
