The parents of Jemima Pickel (Pickle) born about 1831 may be Henry Pickle (b. 25 Jun 1796 Hunterdon Co, NJ d. 7 Oct 1867) and Mary Smith (b. about 1808). This family can be found in the 1850 Gallia Co., OH census. However a marriage record to Isaac Compston has yet to be discovered. One Tree at ancestry.com appears to extract information from an 1875 Gallia, Oh marriage certificate of a daughter, Eliza Ann (b. about 1858) to Jonah Frownfelter that lists Eliza Ann's parents as Isaac and Jemima Pickle. However an 1860 census has an Isaac Compston married to a spouse named Mariah with a 1 year old daughter named Eliza. It will take more information to establish any connection.

If this identification is correct, I would appreciate any information about Jemima that will further my own geneological reseach.

Thanks,
Marva
