Linda, I can't thank you enough for the information. I am the grand daughter of Will Pickron and I have been trying to track down family hoistory for years, to no avail. I understood that Matilda was from Alabama, not Georgia. She raised my mother, Pansy Pickron. I remember my mother telling me about her Uncle Sam Pickron. The names of the children match up exactly with my memories of my mother's stories. I have no siblings and both of my parents are dead, so I know very little about my mother's family history. Her mother's name was Maggie Nix. Maggie and Will had three children Alyne, Pansy, and Woodrow.
Thank you for your help. It means a great deal to me. Suzanne Meyer
