My mother is Becky Pickron daughter of Raleigh E. Pickron.I have a copy of the Miller County Archives - Cemeteries - Tabb Cemetery and have found at least 37 connections to relatives of my mother. My mother's father, Raleigh, was the son of Samuel Pickron and Mina Dawson. I have found no information about Mina Dawson.Samuel's parents were John F. Pickron and Susan Jane Tabb. From information on the June 1860 Census for Mitchell, Georgia I found Elijah Pickren age 60. He was married to Lavicy. I have found the following children Algien (1828), James E. (1836), Jacob (1842), John F. (1844), Lucy (March 1849). Lucy married Richard Troupe Tabb on March 1, 1866 in Georgia. John F. married Richard's sister, Susan Jane Tabb. I have found infomation that indicates Elijah was in the Civil War. Jacob Pickren was also in the Civil War. The name Pickron seems to be mispelled many times. I cannot find the cemetery in which John F. Pickron was laid to rest. I did find in Georgia death cert. that John F. probably died of what was called consumption at the time. Do you have any idea what the caused Samuel Pickron's death?
