Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Hi, "Cousin". I have a booklet which might be of some interest to you, if you haven't already run across it. However it doesn't contain info on Don Jose's spouse ,I'm afraid. Entitled "Acontecimientos en California", it was compiled by another "cousin", Frank Forrester of San Luis Obispo, and is the recollections of Don Jose, as told to and recorded in longhand in Spanish by Thomas Savage, (a researcher of California history) in 1878. Cousin Frank had it translated some 20 years ago while researching the Forrester-Pico connection.
He also has a nice family tree chart which goes back to Santiago de la cruz Pico, born in 1733. I'd be happy to send you a copy of it, and anything else I may have that you might be interested in, if you'd like. Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
