It appears from census that Paulina Victoria Pidcock was raised primarily by her parents. She is in the h/h of Marion (Francis Marion) and wife Elizabeth Browning at 2 yrs old in 1870, Crawford Co., Mo. Courtois Twp. h/h #68, p.3. In 1880 she was in h/h of mother and 2nd husb. Geo. Mills (according to Paulina application for her father's pension, Francis Marion d. 1877), Crawford Co., Mo., Courtois Twp., p. 46, h/h 204. Her mother, Elizabeth Browning Pidcock Mills d. 1886. 1900 census put Paulina in h/h of Napolian Browning (bro. of Elizabeth) and wife Drucilla Garrison (d/o Geo. Garrison). Helen Wright's "Cemeteries of Crawford Co." states Ulisses Sidney Grant Pidcock d. 2/19/1886, 19 yrs. 6 Mos., 20 days. Francis Marion Pidcock was likely b. in Hopkins Co. Ky where the family resided at the time of his birth (ca. 1835).
