I'm sure somebody must have replied to your posting in February by now. But since I've only just read it, I thought I'd help you out!
William was the seventh child of William Pidcock (1630-1692) of Bakewell & Elizabeth Holland (1634-1717) of Wirksworth. Their first 3 children - George (1655-), Robert (1657-1724) & Mary (1660-1720) were born in Wirksworth, before the family moved back to Bakewell to have Jane (1662-, married Joseph Oliver of Tansley), Elizabeth (1664-1665), Dorothy (1666-1666),William (1667-1724, your ancestor), John (1669-1722) & Benjamin (1672-1754).
George, a glazier, married Mary Dale in 1690 (Leek, Staffs),had no children and was alive in 1715. Robert & Benjamin married the Botham sisters (Mary & Anne); Robert, also a glazier, had 5 children, only one of which William (1685-1724, a plumber) produced heirs; Benjamin, a saddler, died without heirs. Mary & John never married.
William (1630-1692) died and was buried for unknown reasons in Matlock. His parents were William And Margaret Pidcock of Bakewell, who died in 1630 and 1670 respectively.
Of course you must know of the large dynasty of Pidcocks that descended from your William & Elizabeth in England. Elizabeth's parents were Thomas Henzey(-1712) & Frances Croker9-1707) of Amblecote, Staffs, who also had a daughter,Elizabeth. Thomas' parents were Joshuah Henzey the Younger(1640-) and Dorothy(-1682). His parents were Joshuah the Elder (1600-1660) and Joan Bretell(1589-1671). His father Annanias Hennezel (born 1570 in France), a Huguenot glassmaker, had brought the family to near Stourbridge in the early 17th century!
I do hope this is of help; I have a whole file on your family in Reunion 7 for the Mac. If it's of any use, I could email it, although it's quite large!
I'd be grateful for any details of your family line to add to my ever growing database.
Peter Piddock (my great grandfather changed the name for our branch!)
