I am trying to find out if anyone knows of a connection to a Mary PIDCOCK who I have been informed married a James PENSON in 1736, in Darly Dale, Derby (or in Trainlain).
I have been informed that a book may contain some mention of the above, but the person who informed me of this book cannot remember the title at the moment.
There is also somewhere a will that mentions the above 2 people.
I know James Penson was born 1694 in Lilleshall,Shropshire and was Park keeper to Rt. Hon. Earl Gower in Trentham, Staffordshire, buried there in 1769.
His wife's tombstone adjoins his, but only mentions her as Mary, wife of James Penson. Mary died in 1744.
Would be grateful for any replys at all.
