Thank you for your reply. I don't think that we are from the same family, although Cornwall is not a large place and there could be a connection way back. I have now traced my Pidwells back to Petter Pidwell in 17th century. My g-g-g grandmother, Rhoda lived in Kenwyn before emigrating to Australia.
