My grandmother was a Pieper also. I know she was German. Her name was Mabel Lucille Pieper. She married Ambrose Benedict Spooner. Her father was Amiel E Pieper. He married Dora Marie Harder. They had three children: Mabel, Inez, and Vernon. I thought my great grandfather had a brother named Arthur and Edward, and William but I could be wrong. One of my cousins has gone to Germany and done extensive searching for Pieper. I am trying to get in touch with her to get the whole story. I'll let you know.
